Eurofork has created a specific WCS (Warehouse Control System) to make the System Integrator comfortable with ESMARTSHUTTLE machines. This assure a fast start-up with very limited integration activities.WCS completely control ESMARTSHUTTLE machines (including battery management).
WCS software enable warehouse start-up in 5 easy steps:
Eshuttle and Esatellite are introduced in the rack (with datamatrix tapes already installed). Even one single machine is enough to start working in presence of a lifter.
Mapping sensor kit is mounted on-board machine. Those sensors are needed only at the first start-up of the warehouse.
Basic warehouse data (levels and columns number) are written in the PC HMI (Human Machine Interface). This step requires a limited time to be done.
Warehouse mapping is automatically done by the machines: once covered the whole warehouse synoptic layout is created with zero programming.
WCS service is launched and machines are ready to perform missions
WCS is developed with Microsoft .NET Framework, but it can also exchange data with Unix/Linux systems.
WCS Light is an “order executor”: it creates the sequences of micro-missions to complete the tasks received by the upper level software (position A to position B movement).
WCS Light manages the eventual traffic issues caused by ESMARTSHUTTLE level change needs, leaving System Integrator the sole duty of optimization and storage efficiency.
WCS always comes with an Host module, to customize the data exchange with the upper level software. Synoptic 2D layout and basic Human-Machine Interfaces complete the supply of this option.
WCS Plus is the “decision maker” of the warehouse: it gets only PutAway/Retrieve lists from the upper level software, then optimization and storage efficiency are automatically managed.
With this option every position and destination in the warehouse is under WCS control. Customized Host, Synoptic 2D layout and Human-Machine Interfaces are included in this scope.
It is the control interface for each machine running in the warehouse. It contains all the status information of position, sensors and battery. It allows to switch from automatic to manual mode and to set all dynamics parameters. Moreover, a detailed list of machine eventual alarm status can be consulted for a fast resolution
It shows the real-time condition of the warehouse, where all machines and pallets on each level can be seen. By clicking on a single pallet, all information transferred to Eurofork’s WCS from the upper software level (pallet number, batch info, etc.) will be displayed.
Operators have the full system control by using the above mentioned tools in combination with all client interfaces.
